Preparing for Neck Lift Surgery
When you schedule your neck lift surgery, Dr. Yang will provide you with all the pre-surgical preparations. These generally include lab testing and obtaining a medical clearance from your primary doctor. Dr. Yang requires you to stop smoking at least three months before your procedure to encourage the best circulation and proper healing post-surgery. You will need to ask a friend or family member to drive you to and from your neck lift surgery at our Rockville Surgical Center. Located on the 1st floor of our office building.
Someone will need to be with you for the first 24 hours after your procedure. Dr. Yang will provide you with prescription medications, as well as recommend over-the-counter pain medication, to start taking after your surgery.

Neck lift surgery consists of a combination of procedures that help change the appearance of your neck. A neck lift, also called a Cervicoplasty, removes excess skin. A platysmaplasty tightens the muscles under your chin, while using liposuction removes any excess fat. Most of the time, neck lift surgery is part of a lower facelift procedure; however, a necklift can also be performed independently on patients whose jowl and jawline are not a concern.
