Dr. Yang also uses Botox to treat hyperhidrosis.
Hyperhidrosis is the medical term for excessive sweating. Many patients who suffer from this condition experience abnormal sweating in the hands, underarms, and feet. Patients who sweat excessively often soak through their clothing or drip sweat. Regular antiperspirants don’t work well or at all for these patients.
Botox injections are an excellent option for patients with hyperhidrosis. Botox has been FDA-approved for patients who sweat profusely from their armpits. It may also be used “off-label” to reduce sweating in other areas, such as the hands, feet, and face.
