One unchangeable fact of life is that we all get older. Just because we age doesn’t mean we have to LOOK OLD. Unfortunately, noticing wrinkles staring at you in the mirror doesn’t help. As we age, our skin starts to become thinner, causing skin laxity (stretching), combined with muscle movement, which results in the appearance of wrinkles.

Receiving a Botox treatment from an experienced injector, is a great way to look and feel years younger with the results that you can trust and admire.

To help reduce wrinkles, Dr. Yang injects Botox into the treatment area using a small needle. The procedure is quick and often painless. You will be able to return to work the same day. It is recommended to avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours after your treatment. Botox is very safe when carefully used. By using the best techniques from years of injecting expertise, Dr. Bennett C. Yang strives to give you the best results with minimal risk.

The cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, often referred to by its product name Botox, is a popular non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces frown lines, forehead creases, crows feet near the eyes, fine lines and wrinkles. After injected, Botox blocks the nerve impulses, preventing muscle movement that cause wrinkles.

Approved as a muscle relaxer by the FDA in 1989, Botox was originally used to treat facial, eyelid and muscle spasms that caused crossed eyes, and cervical dystonia (a neurological movement disorder).

Dr. Yang also uses Botox to treat hyperhidrosis.

Hyperhidrosis is the medical term for excessive sweating.  Many patients who suffer from this condition experience abnormal sweating in the hands, underarms, and feet. Patients who sweat excessively often soak through their clothing or drip sweat. Regular antiperspirants don’t work well or at all for these patients.

Botox injections are an excellent option for patients with hyperhidrosis. Botox has been FDA-approved for patients who sweat profusely from their armpits. It may also be used “off-label” to reduce sweating in other areas, such as the hands, feet, and face.
