When preparing for pre and post BBL surgery – it’s important to be healthy before and after surgery. Eating well, NOT smoking are key factors in having a successful outcome. If you have any medical conditions, preoperative testing or evaluation by your primary care doctor may be required before being cleared to have surgery. On average, about 70% of the fat that is injected lasts long term. Most patients will need 1-2 weeks off of work for recovery and about 1-2 months out of the gym. Fat transplantation is done under full general anesthesia in a fully licensed out patient surgery center.
